Guinness Squirrel
(MALABAR)

The worlds largest squirrel is the Indian or Malabar giant squirrel , endemic to deciduous and moist evergreen forests in peninsular India. It can grow to 1 m in total length, two thirds of which constitute its long bushy tail. Rarely coming down from its home in the upper canopy of the trees, it moves from one tree to another by way of huge leaps of up to 6 m, with its limbs outstretched.
