Fritz

Fritz is the younger brother of the
famous hippo Fiona, born at the Cincinnati
Zoo in August 2022. Unlike Fiona, who was
born prematurely and required extensive
care to survive, Fritz was born healthy
and quickly captured the hearts of zoo
visitors and animal lovers worldwide. As
Fiona’s sibling, he shares the spotlight and
adds to the zoo’s beloved hippo family,
delighting fans with his playful antics and
strong bond with his older sister. Fritz's
birth brought renewed excitement to the
zoo and its growing hippo exhibit.
